The Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee (SAOC) is looking to create a stronger organisational structure and support to their sport federations in the lead up to the London 2012 Olympic Games. The need for a London 2012 Strategic Plan has grown from the desire to better prepare the athletes during the years leading into the Olympic Games as well as enhancing the level of support the athletes receive at the Olympic Games. A critical element is learning more about the current status of each of the sport federations within the SAOC and developing High Performance Plans (HPP) for each of them as they develop their athletes towards London.
TSE is working to develop a strategic plan for the SAOC for preparations and performances in London 2012. As part of the overall plan, a programme was designed to incent the athletes to achieve qualification as well as good performances at the London 2012 Olympic Games. The Saudi Olympic Falcon Program was launched in Riyadh on June 7, 2009. TSE is working with the SAOC to create a database of information on major aspects of each sport federation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. TSE is consulting with the SAOC on the creation of a Sport Performance Division within the SAOC and training their staff in areas of leadership and athlete development.
