TSE congratulates its client the Peruvian Olympic Committee on its win to host the 2017 IOC Session
The International Olympic Committee (IOC), at its Extraordinary Session in Monaco, awarded Lima, Peru the right to host the 130th IOC Session in 2017.
TSE Consulting supported the National Olympic Committee of Peru throughout the bid process, consulting on the development of the technical file, evaluation visit and the final presentation made to the IOC members in Monaco. TSE Consulting has also assisted Peru last year in winning the rights to host the 2019 Pan American Games.
President of the National Olympic Committee of Peru, Jose Quiñones, was delighted by the win and said; “First, we want to congratulate our friends from Finland for a great race. Today has encouraged us to continue our investment in sport in our country. We thank all the IOC members for providing this encouragement to us today. We look forward to welcoming the Olympic family to Lima in 2017.”
Iván Dibós, IOC Member from Peru, added: “Peru is on an exciting journey. To welcome the IOC to my hometown in Lima and to host my colleagues there is an enormous honour for me and for the people of the city. This decision marks a new sporting future for the young people of Peru.“
Greg Curchod, Director at TSE Consulting, said: “We are extremely happy for our clients today. Peru has committed itself to the development of sport and to using sport for its own development. It will be an exciting occasion in 2017.“
Lima was against competition from Helsinki, Finland.
