TSE Consulting congratulates Abu Dhabi 2019
TSE Consulting congratulates its client the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court on winning the rights to host the 2019 Special Olympics World Summer Games.
With the 2019 Special Olympics World Summer Games, Abu Dhabi builds further on its existing hosting experience and investments in inclusion and integration of people with intellectual disabilities (ID). In 2019, not only will Abu Dhabi organise a fantastic event but also create a lasting impact in the UAE and throughout the region by fostering greater community engagement and creating a wider understanding for people living with ID.
Timothy Shriver, Special Olympics Chairman, praised the UAE bid saying, “There’s no better or more profound location than Abu Dhabi to invite the world to come together in celebration of sport, in celebration of people of all kinds, and to demonstrate to the world that the lines of division can be erased. We are thrilled to be the first fully global multisport Games of this size to be staged in the Middle East region of the world.”
Greg Curchod, Director, TSE Consulting said, “This is not just another great win for Abu Dhabi as a sports destination, but a historic moment for a country so invested in the social inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities. The team did a great job at creating a fantastic bid and it has been a privilege to contribute to bringing this event to the Middle East for the first time.”
