TSE Sports Performance Services on-site in Turkey
Last month TSE’s Senior Sport Performance Consultant, Steve Roush, visited Turkey as part of an ongoing project being conducted alongside the Turkish Swimming Federation (THY).
Roush visited all of the swimming high performance centers in Turkey and is now in the process of performing a thorough evaluation of each of the centers across a host of criteria including facilities, equipment, personnel, elite athlete programmes and development systems.
Centers in Istanbul, Bursa, Adana, Kayseri, Ankara and Trabzon we visited and assessed for this phase of the project.
Steve joined TSE Consulting after having served four years as the Chief of Sport Performance for the United States Olympic Committee including the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing where Team USA enjoyed a record medal haul for the organisation. As the head of TSE Consulting’s Sports Performance activities, Steve is coordinating TSE’s assistance to sports organisations and governmental agencies in improving elite athlete performance by providing strategic advice, as well as tailored consulting and training programmes in areas such as: Athlete Development Pipeline, High Performance Planning, Olympic Games preparation consultation and Evaluation of sports performance systems.
The TSE Consulting Sports Performance Team, based in Colorado Springs, USA, home to the United States Olympic Committee, fully understands the landscape of the elite international sports competition and the challenges of elite performance, especially the Olympic Games systems. As such, we provide intimate knowledge of the “best practices” used successfully by the leading National Olympic Committees around the world and assist clients in developing athlete-centred, systematic approaches to elite sports performance.
