TSE's annual gathering, referred to as 'Base Camp', is a two-day
workshop for representatives of cities and regions whose
responsibilities include the bidding for and hosting of international
sports events. The participants consist of senior representatives of
cities and regions within the TSE Consulting network.
TSE Base Camp, hosted in Lausanne, Switzerland for the past three
years, will take place on October 5th- 6th, 2009, in Copenhagen,
Denmark, during the IOC Olympic Congress - the biggest international
sports meeting in 25 years.
A group of around 35 TSE clients and close contacts will meet in a
small workshop setting to develop skills, hear from experts, and share
ideas with their peers from around the world. These cities and regions
are often in tough competition with one another, but over two days they
put that aside and focus on developing new ideas and working together
to find solutions.
The four sessions during Base Camp are a mix of formal presentations by
industry leaders, discussions amongst participants, and a panel session
with senior representatives of International Federations. On the
afternoon of October 6th, delegates will have the pleasure of attending
Sport Event Denmark's 'Hosting Winners Conference' which also focuses
on the bidding for and hosting of sports events.
Lars Haue-Pedersen, Managing Director of TSE Consulting, said:
"All the movers and shakers in international sport will be in
Copenhagen in October - and we are pleased we can offer our network the
chance to be a part of it."
