TSE congratulates its client, the Qatar Olympic Committee, on its win to host the 24th IHF Handball World Championships in 2015.

On Thursday, January 27th in Malmö, Sweden, following a presentation to the International Handball Federation Council Members, the Qatar 2015 bid team was awarded the right to host the Men's Handball World Championships in 2015.

Qatar's bid was developed and implemented by TSE Consulting. TSE's involvement focused on the development of the bid's technical aspects (including the development of the first ever iPad bid book) as well as on the creation of a campaign strategy including the bid's positioning compared to its competitors and the development of key messages.

Director of TSE Consulting, Greg Curchod said, "When developing a campaign for a sport event, it is important to consider the international federation's current concerns for the development of its sport and shape your campaign around their objectives. We are very happy to have been able to achieve this in our collaboration with the Qatar 2015 bid team and to have helped them win this bid."

Mr Ahmed Al Shaabi, President of the Qatar Handball Association said, "Sport events are very important for the development of Qatar, we are eager to host the Championships in 2015 and we look forward to promoting Handball throughout the region. TSE was instrumental in helping us shape this message and present it to the IHF in a creative way."

Qatar's slogan, 'New Times New Start' showcased Qatar's offer of a fresh opportunity to innovatively promote Handball, set new standards for the World Championships and strengthen the International Handball Federation.

Besides Qatar, France, Norway and Poland were all competing for the 2015 Championships. All four bidders made a 30-minute presentation in from of the IHF Council, following the submission of their bid books late last year. Qatar delivered the first ever iPad bid book - showcasing technology as an integral part of its bid.

Congratulations Qatar!
